Therapy is an individual process, and it takes courage and vulnerability to begin. It is of utmost importance to me to create a safe and reflective space for you to be able to process difficult emotions. I believe that our early relationships strongly impact our ability to connect with others. These patterns can resonate with us throughout our adult lives, often keeping us stuck in confusing or unhealthy dynamics. My goal as a therapist is to create a space that facilitates healing and transformation by understanding each person's unique life experiences, strengths, and needs. My work is informed by the fact that the therapeutic relationship allows you to practice new ways of relating to others and can serve as a lens to look at other relationships.
I am also a somatically focused therapist. I can work with you to develop mindful awareness around how traumatic experiences can be stored in the body. Processing through these emotions can help the brain and body to "talk" to one another and use the body's innate capacity to heal trauma.
